Three hundred square meters carefully restored, where the stone walls and vaulted ceilings, the exposed beams and the large fireplace tell a story that no hotel can make up. Four hundred years ago this house marked a border. Today it marks a different threshold: the one between the rhythm of the city and something slower, more authentic.

We are Gian Luca and Marina. We chose this stone house in Val Trebbia because we believe that a great stay begins with authenticity of the place, the people, and the welcome.
At the Antico Casale every guest is unique. We don't offer standardised rooms but a tailor-made experience, in a historic residence carefully tended to in every detail, far from mass tourism.
The rooms combine modern comforts with local materials. The garden, the swimming pool and the silence do the rest, whether you are looking for a romantic getaway, a relaxing weekend or a base from which to explore the Piacentine Hills and the trails of Val Trebbia.
We welcome our guests with the same care we dedicate to the place we call home. Breakfast is prepared with zero-kilometre products, sourced from local producers in Val Trebbia and the Piacentine Hills.
